This was basically Jet’s only hit, but it was quite a sizeable one, catapulting the Australian band into mainstream chart success across the globe in 2003. Anchored by a bass-led introduction that takes influence from Motown hits (particularly The Supremes - ‘Can’t Hurry Love’), ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl?’ still pops up on set lists today:
