Free Bass Transcriptions

Terms and Conditions

Last updated 26 September 2026.

These terms cover using freebasstranscriptions.com and buying the ebooks sold on it. The terms of sale below are the ones you agree to at checkout. Nothing here takes away your rights as a consumer under UK law.

Who I am

Free Bass Transcriptions is run by me, Tom Kenrick, a sole trader, at 174 Thorpe Lea Road, Egham TW20 8HA, United Kingdom. You can reach me at tk@freebasstranscriptions.com or through the contact form.

Using the site

The transcriptions, charts, lessons and articles here are free to read and download for your own practice and study. I do not own the copyright for any of the transcriptions on this site, hence why everything outside of the shop is free.

Please don’t republish the charts or articles, upload them to other sites, or sell them. Linking to any page here is always welcome, though.

I work hard to get every transcription right, but they are one player’s reading of a recording and may contain mistakes (particularly the older ones). If you spot one, tell me and I’ll fix it.

Terms of sale

What you’re buying

The ebooks are PDF downloads. No physical product will be shipped to you, and there is no subscription and no account to create.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and are the full amount you pay. I’m not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added at checkout. Payment is taken by Stripe, which also handles cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay; I never see or store your card details.

When the contract starts

Our contract starts when your payment is confirmed. An email with a link to your download page is sent straight away, usually arriving within a minute. If it hasn’t come within an hour, check your junk folder and then get in touch.

Downloads

Your download page lists every file in your order. The page link doesn’t expire, so you can come back to it to download again. Each download button on it works for an hour at a time; reload the page for fresh ones. If you lose the email, contact me and I’ll send the link again.

Your right to cancel

The law normally gives you 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content, that right ends once the download is made available with your agreement. At checkout you’re asked to confirm that you want immediate access and understand that you lose the 14-day right once it starts, and you can’t buy without confirming.

This doesn’t leave you without a way out. See the 30-day guarantee below.

30-day money-back guarantee

If an ebook isn’t right for you, email tk@freebasstranscriptions.com within 30 days of buying it and I’ll refund you in full. You don’t need to give a reason.

  • The refund goes back to the payment method you used, and can take 5–10 working days to appear.
  • When the refund is made, your download page and links stop working.
  • A bundle is refunded as one purchase.

This guarantee is on top of your legal rights, not instead of them.

If something is wrong with a file

If a file is damaged, won’t open, or isn’t as described, tell me and I’ll replace it. If I can’t fix it within a reasonable time, you’re entitled to a refund or a price reduction under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, whenever you bought it.

What you can do with the ebooks

Each ebook is licensed to you, the buyer, for your own personal use. You may:

  • download it to any of your own devices
  • print copies for your own practice

You may not:

  • share the PDF or printed copies with anyone else, including students or bandmates
  • upload it anywhere, including file-sharing sites and shared drives
  • sell, resell or give it away

If you teach and want to use a book with your students, each student needs their own copy. Copyright in the ebooks stays with me.

Reviews

About two weeks after a purchase I’ll email you a link to review what you bought. Only buyers can review, and reviews are of individual books, never bundles.

Every review is read before it goes live. I publish reviews whatever their score. I only decline one that is abusive, unlawful, or not about the book. Your review is shown with the name you give on the form and the date, marked “Verified buyer”. By submitting one you allow me to show it on this site.

Liability

I’m responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of my breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. I’m not responsible for loss that wasn’t foreseeable, or for business losses: the ebooks are for personal use.

Nothing in these terms limits my liability where the law doesn’t allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time, and the date at the top will change when I do. A purchase is governed by the terms in force on the day you made it.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live.
